Established in 2017, Ironwood Investments is an investment platform targeting high growth opportunities in Egypt through our 2 investment arms; Private Equity and Green Field investments.
Inspired by the Ironwood tree, that grows and builds an ecosystem around it in harsh conditions, we strive to build organizations that can grow and sustain in changing economic cycles. Private Equity
Within our Private Equity domain, we target Egypt based companies with a proven business model that have significant upside potential. Most of our target companies are family legacy businesses run by well educated, ambitious 2nd generation owners that are looking to fund expansions and/or acquisitions. Thus, we work closely with them to help them achieve their full potential.
Ironwood Investments targets medium sized companies in food, beverage, manufacturing, health and education sectors. All of which are posed to benefit from Egypt’s current high consumption rates, geo location and depreciated currency.
We are uniquely positioned in the market as we are the only ones that offer real on the ground value creation support to our portfolio companies through dedicated resources throughout the investment cycle.

Our team has strong experience in financial analysis, strategy development, fund raising and deal closing in the Egyptian market.
Within 2018 and 2019, we raised EGP 560M from local financing institutions for our clients.

Our team received their education from Harvard University, Atlantic University, American University in Cairo and Cairo University, and brings in experience from EFG Hermes, Bain&Co, HSBC, Grand Thornton as well as other reputable companies in the financial and management consulting sectors.
We have successfully secured accumulated funding in excess of EGP 560M for our partners.
